Creating Shutdown Shortcut For Windows !!!

Want to shutdown your computer in just one click ??? Here are the steps to create a shortcut which can help you perform it next time …

  • Navigate to Desktop.
  • Right click on the Desktop and select New then Shortcut.
  • A shortcut menu appears.
  • Enter shutdown /s /t 0 in the location box and hit Next.
  • You may also use – sign instead of / .
  • 0 here determines the seconds it would take to shutdown your computer.
  • Enter a name for the shortcut and then click Finish.
  • The shortcut appears on your Desktop.
  • Right click on the shortcut and select Properties.
  • Click Change Icon.
  • Click Ok in the warning box.
  • Select the Shutdown Icon.
  • After the icon has changed pin your Shortcut to Taskbar.
  • Clicking on this shortcut , Shutdowns your computer.

STEPS TO CANCEL A SHUTDOWN :

If you have kept the time for shutdown more than 15 seconds and by mistake have clicked the shortcut and want to cancel the shutdown process than follow the steps given ….

  • Open cmd.
  • Type there, shutdown -a or shutdown /a.
  • Then you will receive a message saying that the shutdown has been cancelled.
